Oracle Project Percentage Completion

Define Percent Complete Revenue and Invoicing
1. Create two event types with the event class 'automatic', one for revenue and one for invoicing
2. Associate the above events with pre-defined billing exetensions
  a) Percent Complete Revenue
b) Percent Complete Invoicing
3. Revenue distribution rule must be one of the following
a) Event / Work : Accrue revenue based on percent completion
b) Work / Event  or Cost / Event : Generate Invoices based on percent complete
c) Event / Event : bothe accrue revenue and generate invoice
4. You must enter percent completion at the funding level
5. The billing extensions are predefined to be assigned to the project

Generate Revenue and Invoice based on Project completion % : We can achieve this with project billing extensions.

Step by step:

1. Define Project Type and assign cost / cost distribution rule


2. Create a Template and assign a customer


3. Create a Project


4. Enter approved cost budget


5. Create an agreement and baseline funding


6. Assign cost and revenue budget types to the extensions


7. Assign extensions to the project type / project level


8. Enter % completion


9. Run PRC: Generate Draft Revenue for revenue and
            PRC: Generate Draft Invoice and view output
10. Run PRC: Update project summary amounts
